While LAFD paramedics worked feverishly to revive the child, Truck 104 arrived and had approximately 1 minute to establish a landing zone for MEDSTAR. The l/z was established in the intersection in front of the residence and MEDSTAR 2 arrived almost immediately. The MEDSTAR crew made a quick assessment of the patient, and with LAFD paramedic Debow assisting with ventilations, the child was placed into MEDSTAR 2 and transported still in respiratory arrest to Health Park Hospital.
