Lehigh Acres, FL house fire- 12/8/09 : LAFD Station 101 "A" shift units were first due at a small kitchen in an occupied duplex at 707 Joel Blvd at approximately 2045 hours. Engine 101's crew stretched a 1 3/4 inch hand line and quickly knocked down the fire. The apartment was left uninhabitable and the Red Cross was contacted for the two adults & two children who were left homeless by the fire.

Lehigh Acres, FL house fire- 10/28/09 : LAFD "B" shift firefighters responded to 3204 68th Street West for a possible house fire at approximately 1500 hours. Upon arrival firefighters found a 1 story occupied dwelling with fire in one room with all occupants out of the structure. A 1 3/4" hand line was stretched and the fire was quickly extinguished.

Lehigh Acres, FL house fire- 11/18/09 : Lehigh Acres Fire Rescue stations 102, 101 and 104 "B" shift and Battalion 100, acting Chief Collins, were dispatched at 0925 hours on 11/18/09 to 220 South Lake Drive for a reported house fire. Upon arrival, Engine 102 Lieutenant Ronco reported he had a 1 story house with heavy fire showing. Lt Ronco assisted Firefighter Edinger in stretching a 1 3/4 inch hand line and then commenced his walk around. 
Truck 104 & Engine 101 soon arrived and assisted with overhaul and extinguishing hot spots. A neighbor reported that he and another neighbor had pulled the elderly resident from a rear lanai when he refused to leave his house. The resident stated to LAFD Chief Adams that he had been removing old gasoline from his lawn tractor and tried to get rid of the old fuel by lighting it on fire. 
The victim received flash burns to his face and was complaining of difficulty breathing. LAFD Rescue 101 treated and transported the elderly gentleman to Lehigh Regional Medical Center.

Lehigh Acres, FL house fire- 10/10/09 : LAFD firefighters from Station 101 "A" shift arrived at 418 Muriel Street at approximately 0045 hours on 10/10/09 to find a two story occupied house with the second floor well involved. With all occupants accounted for and the roof collapsing, Battalion Chief Dillalo ordered Engine 101's crew to initiate an exterior attack. Station 102 & 104 units arrived and were assigned ventilation and water supply duties as there were no hydrants in the area. The Red Cross was notified to assist the 3 adults & 2 children who lived in the home, and the State Fire Marshall's Office was also called to investigate.

Lehigh Acres, FL house fire- 10/10/09 : LAFD "B" shift firefighters battled a house fire at 3617 1st St sw at approximately 1415 hours on 10/10-09. The fire caused heavy damage to the interior and roof of the one story house, and was the second house fire in 24 hours for the LAFD. A neighbor stated that the residents of the home had left 30 minutes prior to the fire starting, so nobody was home at the time of the fire.

Lehigh Acres, FL house fire- 7/31/09 : LAFD firefighters from Stations 101, 105 "C" Shift & Battalion 100, Chief Wayne, arrived at 315 Hamilton Avenue at 2300 hours on 7-31-09, to find heavy fire venting through the roof of a 1 story occupied private dwelling. Engine 101's crew made entry with a 1 3/4 inch hand line and knocked down the bulk of the fire within 10 minutes. A primary and secondary search for victims was quickly accomplished, which resulted in crews finding two dogs which had perished in the fire. The only resident home at the time of the incident stated the cause of the fire was electrical in nature. The LAFD Fire Marshall's Office is investigating.

Lehigh Acres house fire- 4/19/09 : LAFD firefighters from stations 101, 105, 102 & 103 "B" Shift, responded to a reported structure fire on Cortez Ave near West 17th Street at approximately 1700 hours on 4/19/09. Due to station 101 companies being tied up at a previous brush fire, Engine 103 arrived first due and Lieutenant Hanna reported he had fire through the roof of a dwelling. Lieutenants Hanna & Ronco stretched a 1 3/4 inch hand line and made quick work of the fire which had consumed much of the interior of the vacant house.

Lehigh Acres, FL house fire- 4/17/09 : LAFD firefighters from stations 101, 102 & 105 "C" Shift and Battalion 101, battled a house fire at 1609 Hines Avenue at approximately 1415 hours on 4-17-09. First due Engine 101 Lieutenant Pitter reported he had heavy smoke and fire showing from the dwelling on arrival. Station 101 personnel stretched an 1 3/4 inch hand line and made quick work of the fire as well as doing a quick primary search which proved negative.

Lehigh Acres, FL house fire- 1/9/09 : LAFD firefighters from stations 102 & 101 and Battallion 101 "A" shift fight a house fire at 405 East Jersey Road at approximately 0800 hours on 1-9-09. Upon arrival, Battallion 101, Chief Dillalo, ordered a defensive attack and a 3" line with a portable deck monitor was placed in service resulting in a quick knockdown. The home was heavily damaged by fire and all occupants escaped the blaze and there were no injuries to residents or firefighters.

Lehigh Acres, FL house fire- 11/30/08 : With Battalion Chief John Wayne in command, LAFD firefighters battled a fully involved residential structure fire at 3110 68th Street West at approximately 0200 hours on 11/30/08. First due Engine 104 Lieutenant Kreft ordered Firefighter Wilson to stretch the first line to protect the "B" side exposure due to the windblown heat and embers. Neighbors said they heard an explosion prior to seeing the fire from the vacant dwelling. Tender 101 responded for water supply due to no hydrants in the area and Station 103 responded second due for manpower.

Lehigh Acres, FL house fire- 11/24/08 : LAFD Firefighters from Station 104 "B" Shift were first due at this dwelling fire located at 3015 16th St West at approximately 0100 hours on 11/24/08. The vacant house was well involved on arrival, and with the roof having already collapsed, Battalion 101, Chief Wayne, ordered a defensive operation. Station's 103 & 102 also responded for water supply and manpower.

Lehigh Acres house fire- 6/8/08 : LAFD Firefighters from Stations 104, 103, 102 and 101 "B" Shift battled an intense fire in a private dwelling at around 9 pm at 4625 Anita Avenue North. Upon arrival, first due Engine 104 Lieutenant Kreft assisted by Firefighter Wilson pulled the preconnected portable monitor and began to attack the garage area. Engine 104's crew knocked down the bulk of the heavy fire and crews from the second and third due engine companies stretched 1 3/4 inch hand lines to extinguish the remaining fire.

Lehigh Acres, FL house fire- 3/12/08 : LAFD Firefighters from Station 101 "C" Shift were first due on this house fire at 904 Gerald Avenue just after midnight. An explosion which was heard at Station 101, which is two blocks from the scene, resulted in fire through the roof on arrival for Engine & Rescue 101. Engine 101's Officer, Lt. Pitter, ordered his crew to stretch a 3" line with a portable monitor and the fire was quickly knocked down. Upon arrival, second due Engine 102's crew, led by Lt. Hanna, stretched a 1 3/4 inch handline and commenced overhaul of the structure. The house was reported to have been vacant for a year by neighbors.

Lehigh Acres, FL house fire- 3/1/08 : LAFD firefighters from stations 102, 103, 104 & 105 "B" shift responded to 2810 38th Street SW just after 0630 for a reported dwelling fire. On arrival they had heavy smoke & flames showing from a 2 story vacant house. Due to the heavy fire conditions and uncertain interior structural conditions an exterior attack was ordered and the fire was quickly knocked down.

Lehigh Acres, FL house fire- 1/23/08 : LAFD Firefighters from Stations 102, 103 & 105 "C" shift made quick work of this well involved dwelling fire at 3219 36th St. West. First due Engine 103 Lt. Hanna reported heavy fire through the roof on arrival. Engine 103's crew stretched a 1 3/4 inch hoseline through the front door and quickly darkened down the fire.

Lehigh Acres, FL house fire- 1/9/08 : LAFD Firefighters from Stations 101, 102 & 105 "A" shift battle a well involved one story dwelling fire at 1718 Maple Avenue . Apparently, a Vietnamese family of five was home when the fire started and failed to call 911, instead calling a friend to come pick them up. A neighbor spotted the fire and called 911.

Alva, FL house fire- 8/15/06 : Alva firefighters responded to 19291 Witts End for a house fire. Upon arrival the first due engine found a 2 story occupied dwelling with heavy smoke showing. Due to low manpower and no hydrants, the LAFD was requested to the scene with an engine and tender.

Lehigh Acres, FL house fire- 3/14/06 : LAFD firefighters from Station 102 were first due at this occupied dwelling fire at 314 Louisiana Road. Engine 102 arrived and reported they had heavy smoke & fire through the roof. An aggressive interior attack was initiated, however due to a collapsing roof, Command ordered all firefighters out of the structure and a defensive attack was begun. The fire was extinguished in approximately 20 minutes and there was severe damage to the house.
